Richards, Layton & Finger, Delaware’s largest law firm, seeks an innovative Enterprise Applications Administrator for its IT team in Wilmington, DE. This exempt position’s responsibilities would include:
Working with attorneys, support departments and personnel to support software technology needs in all areas of practice;
Customizing applications, developing macros, script files, and batch files for automating various tasks;
Working with legal practice groups and administration to develop databases and spreadsheets that will enhance efficiency and productivity;
Designing enhancements to and update material on the Firm's SharePoint environment and coordinates projects relating to the Web site and Intranet;
Researching, evaluating and experimenting with new software as needed;
Installing, updating and maintaining software applications and databases;
Providing work direction to Applications Analysts and/or Specialists.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Thorough knowledge of complex automated information systems as normally acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer science or business administration – or, the equivalent experience;
Three to seven years of progressively responsible work experience with legal or other professional service organizations in order to gain experience in managing automated information systems including strategic planning, analyzing complex issues and difficult systems problems;
Ability to communicate complex systems information and ideas effectively and efficiently to attorneys, managers and staff – often with minimal preparation;
Ability to rapidly analyze issues, anticipate consequences, make decisions and initiate action;
Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 operating system; Microsoft SQL and Access, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
Ability to administer and maintain MS SQL and MS Access databases;
Proficient in legal software platforms (iManage, IntApp, Mobile time entry, West km, Handshake, Rainmaker, etc.);
Experience in application development process automation and improvement.
