Ballard Spahr LLP has an exciting opportunity for a Practice Management Administrator to collaborate with and support our Litigation department’s Director of Practice Management with the daily business operations of the department and its practice groups across 15 offices. Responsibilities include managing personnel matters; financial profitability, budgeting, and expense management; business development and revenue generation; integration and practice expansion; continuing education and core training; technological initiatives; and policy enforcement.
Primary financial management responsibilities include reviewing and approving expenses; overseeing lawyer timesheet policy compliance; and assisting with the review of aged receivables and unbilled time. Personnel responsibilities include assisting with the orientation and integration of new lawyers; the transition of departing lawyers and leaves of absence; and oversight of departmental training and mentoring programs. Organizational responsibilities include updating and distributing productivity and staffing reports; compiling meeting materials; calendar scheduling; and serving as a valued resource for Litigation department matters.

Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
