SUMMARY: This position is responsible the development, deployment, management and communication of the firm’s docketing policies and procedures as well as supervising the firm’s docketing specialists.
Provide leadership to docketing specialists through coaching and mentorship.
Maintain high quality standards within the team by developing and supporting best practices.
Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
Build and sustain a highly collaborative and high functioning team.
Schedule regular team meetings, one-on-one meetings with specialists and use check in meetings to facilitate professional development and skill expansion and corrective action as required.
Assist Director in guiding team efforts to ensure successful project delivery, including resource assignment, status review and issue resolution.
Assess opportunities for application and process improvement, and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members, Director, and other affected parties.
Collaborate with case teams to provide assistance as needed with all aspects of docketing.
Establish communication and relationships with attorneys and staff users.
Participate in initiatives designed to increase the awareness of the team and its services to practice groups and all North American offices.
Assist with training new docketing team members.
Stay current on docketing tools and technologies.
Assist with other special projects, tasks, and/or support as assigned.
Provide off-hours support as necessary.
Travel to other offices as necessary.
Work Experience & Abilities Required
5+ years of experience with Compulaw in a law firm required.
Proven ability to effectively manage docketing specialists.
Demonstrated ability to develop a cohesive and high functioning team.
Strong understanding of the litigation process, docketing requirements, and court rules.
Develop partnerships with case teams, docketing specialists, and the Director.
Advanced problem solving skills and strong analytical ability.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree required.
